The Challenge

The project involved the delivery of four separate workstreams within a live government facility where operational continuity remained a key requirement throughout the programme.

Alongside the refurbishment of occupied office accommodation, the project required major upgrades to critical electrical infrastructure, including transformer replacement, switch panel replacement and the installation of additional standby power capacity.

Careful planning and coordination were required to manage the interfaces between each project while minimising disruption to ongoing operations.

The Solution

S-Worx developed a coordinated delivery strategy that brought together workplace refurbishment and critical infrastructure upgrades within a single programme.

The works combined improvements to office environments and welfare facilities with significant resilience upgrades to the site’s electrical infrastructure, supporting both operational performance and long-term reliability.

By managing these works as a coordinated programme, the project team maintained clear communication, controlled risk and supported efficient decision-making throughout delivery.

The Delivery

Works were carried out within a live operational environment, requiring close coordination between stakeholders, specialist contractors and site teams.

The programme included the replacement of high-voltage and low-voltage electrical infrastructure, installation of a new standby generator system, transformer replacement and associated power distribution upgrades.

Alongside these works, S-Worx delivered office refurbishment works including upgraded lighting, ventilation, welfare facilities, server room infrastructure and revised workplace layouts.

Maintaining continuity of operations remained a key consideration throughout each phase of delivery.

The Result

The completed project delivered upgraded workplace facilities alongside enhanced electrical resilience and standby power capacity for the site.

Through careful planning, phased delivery and close coordination, S-Worx successfully delivered multiple complex workstreams within a live government environment while supporting the operational requirements of the facility throughout the programme.
